Have the prices of the gen 4's come down since the release of the 5?

Steel OEM and Ameriglo HD are factory options. I'd rather the cheap plastic slide protectors for less money. Not sure I've seen a good factory site on polymer gun. 3 dots are useless IMO.

I have the steel OEMs on a gen 3 and gen 4, and I like them way better than the factory plastics, but agree they aren't the best either. I won't go so far as to say 3 dots are useless. To each their own.

For anyone looking for blue label gen 5's, GT Distributors has both 19/17 gen 5's for $398.20. Or at least they did have a day or 2 ago

What is the trigger pull weight as advertised on the label?

5LB I think, I don't have the box with me.

The gen 5 is slightly wider than the previous gens.

I see nothing that intrigues me enough to rush out and get the gen 5. From what I have seen and read, the new factory triggers are better. Same old crappy sights, though.

can confirm it is a tighter fit in my Safariland ALS holster but it still works. It's not bad though and the new slide finish is actually holding up way better than any of my previous Glock's and M&P's ever did. Currently using a Safariland 575 GLS IWB holster.

Frank Proctor already slapped Y-Notch sights on his Gen 5 last week, so that's probably the best bet aside from sending it off for an RMR.

I’d bet it will be a year or so before we see the prices come down.

Unless MAC sh*ts on it like the FN 509, see what happened to those prices, they are even trying so hard that they are giving away 3 extra mags

good point, and there are some similarities in these two releases. The 509 is based on the FNS Compact with some upgrades. Gen 5 isn’t a game changer, it just has some upgrades over previous gens.

I can't wait to buy one, stipple the hell out of it and then try to sell it here for $600 because it's "rare".
