Great AR for anybody that's not gonna take it to war. Pretty much everybody.

I've owned Colt, Daniel Defense, Spike's Tactical, and PSA and I bought one of these initially because of the low price. I'm extremely impressed with what I got in the M&P Sport though regardless of the price. It's right up there with the others in form and function for someone who just wants a very reliable and accurate rifle who's not hung up on 'mil-spec', with better fit and finish than most, and the forward assist and dust cover simply aren't needed. Used and new ones alike are popping up all the time at 6-700.00 plus so at 539.00 plus tax for a brand new one you ought to be able to get your money back out of it if you're not satisfied with it for some reason.

Unfortunately not anymore. The first ones came with the 1/8 5R rifling, now they have a 1/9 twist. From all the reports I've heard the new ones are just as accurate as the older ones.
