Something kinda interesting.
So as some may know, LaFrance made the micro UZI's for Hollywood. Most notably for Chuck Norris flicks. The folding stocks were not available until the late 80s/early 90s. All Micros featured in those movies were stockless uzi pistol conversions.
I have two of them but my first one has a stock and was refinished sometime in the past 30years. The new one I bought is original everything, as it came from LaFrance Specialties 29 years ago. Well it came in the other week, and I noticed that it had the LaFrance stamp on the barrel. Tim Lafrance stamped all sorts of components to his conversions, but I was not expecting to see his stamp on the barrel. Its a weird threaded adapter barrel, that has 1/2-28 thread and then a course 3/4-10 thread adapter for a barrel shroud extension as you would see on a Tec-9 or Mac. Presumably to have something to hold onto and control the stockless machine pistol.
I've never seen this type of barrel for a micro until I took a close look at what Chuck Norris was holding. I have an original new folding stock and bracket for it, but now I'm debating whether to leave it Chuck Norris original or weld on the folding stock and refinish like my other micro.
