If some people want to jump on the opportunity to become an impromptu unpaid combat correspondent by standing up and filming a gun battle instead of ducking for cover all the more power to them!
Their lives their choice .

And, as a lawyer, I would say that we as a society should be very thankful that some people will record dangerous situations as they are unfolding live.
These people are creating an evidentiary record of what happened, and often the videos are even more accurate than the testimony of the participants recalling it later.

At about 0:17 you see a woman never even get out of her chair. Maybe some of the people knew the gunman was taken down (I see a guy walking normal pace behind small kid) but I probably would have snatched up my daughter and taken cover or gotten her out of the situation.
