I just saw a news report of security guards shooting a gunman at a San Diego horse track. The gunman went to by tuckets for a concert being held later that night but when he was told they were sold out he pulled a gun and was shot by security guards.
Now the amazing part of the story for me was that the report included a video taken at the ticket gates and it shows during the shooting numerous people holding up cellphones and moving toward the scene to capture it on video. Instead of un-assing the area and seeking cover, their priority was to move in to a shots fired situation and get a video to post on their FB or Twitter page. I guess common sense and self-preservation has become uncommon.
