As a former 82nd Paratrooper (3/505 PIR), and the uncle of a current deployed paratrooper (2nd Bgd) who your son is probably going over to support, and the uncle of an airframe mechanic who works on these platforms (160th), I can identify with how proud you are to have a son serving. Know he works with some professionals, and will return safely back to you! I've worked many times with those awesome choppers (and cursed a few out for dropping their shells on me during a combined live fire exercise) - they're pretty dang awesome!
