Hello fellow ODT'ers, (posted this in the wrong forum with 1 reply, so posting here now)

Picked this Glock 19 Gen 3 up at the TruPrep Swap Meet last weekend.

I know I need to get a cut done on the top for an optic to be mounted and I wanted to see if there are recommendations on a red dot for this? Do I need a specific "cut" made or is there a universal one that can be done for it (i.e., I was looking at the Trijicon RMR as a possibility and it has a specific plate for a Glock)?

Pictures attached for additional insight/help on this.

Thanks, all!

As long as you don’t have an eye stigmatism-

The Trijicon RMR RM06 3.5 MOA dot direct mount from WMW below.

This is the way

Definitely was considering an RMR for it. Had another ODT'er on my OG thread mention the AimPoint Acro P2.

Thankfully, no stigmatism, though my wife does, but she likely wouldn't fire this.

I was planning to have TruPrep handle the cut-in on the existing slide for me, too, along with install. Would I need to still buy something else to accomodate?

Thank you! I'll look into this. Better price than what I would have to pay new.

Aimpoint COA is my current favorite, but will require buying a new handgun as they aren’t sold separately.

Aimpoint ACRO P2 is an outstanding option.

Trijicon RCR is a good one.

I'm liking my RMR HD over the regular rmr and it feels like the extra money was worth it. I have it on glock 45 that I had cut. As mentioned above, I looked through the aimpoints at the NRA convention yesterday and those look to be pretty nice. Probably will be my next buy

Probably going with the P2. Once I get it, I'll drop my Glock and it off to you :)

Trijicon RCR/RMRs were next on my list, but the window in the P2 is just fantastic.
