Glock 42 yes or no?

If there's such a thing as too thin in .380, the Bodyguard fits the description. It can be painful to shoot in the wrong hands. Compromise between weight and recoil -- like being kicked in the thumb joint by a blade... I would suggest she needs to shoot a few .380's to decide.

The LCP & KelTec P3AT is worse... simple physics.
Agree with your last statement. There is no substitute for letting them decide for themselves w/o pushing a gun on them they don't want or like.

Men make that mistake all the time.

My wife owns a S&W Bodyguard .380. She thought she liked it until she shot the Glock 42 at the Griffin Range this last weekend. She now wants to get rid of the S&W and wants the G42. After shooting it I would agree. I have not shot many of the brands but the G42 feels better than the ones that I have.
To be fair though, anything is better than the S&W Bodyguard.....holy 30lb trigger, Batman.

I held one and really really liked it, do note I have smaller hands for a guy.

On a side note I heard something about a lot are going back due to some barrel problem, not sure of the validity of this.

A large dealer told me they've had maybe 10%-15% returned... some due to legitimate issues, others due to operator error.

I personally know of 5 "in the field" that are working fine.

Mine has been test-fired by 6 different people w/ different skill levels & have had no issues after 250 rounds from 5 different mfrs..... so far, so good.

The LCP is often the hardest kicking gun on my range but w/ the new, improved trigger of the Gen. II along w/ the new Hogue grip it's more user-friendly than before.
Both the LCP & the B.G's. triggers improved after 300-400 rds. but as I stated in the earlier posted mini-review, between the long heavy triggers & heavy recoil most ladies did not like them at all.
Oddly enough, occasionally some ladies could shoot either at length w/o discomfort.... which is why I DO NOT TELL THEM WHAT THEY LIKE... but instead try to assist them in finding what they like.
