G23 is my favorite Glock. I don't understand why anyone would want a G19 when you can get a G23 and swap barrels and have a 9mm, .40 or .357 sig whereas a G19 is limited to ONLY 9mm. Baby Glocks aren't even a consideration for me. I hate them more than most of you guys hate Obama. I have had quite a few different Glocks over the last few years...all have been traded off except my two G23s. I'll probably end up with another one or two G23s...why no variety interest? I'd rather stick with what I like. One by the bed, one to carry and possibly others to either stage around the house or keep in a range bag for practice. That way no matter what I grab from wherever in a HD situation, it's the gun I'm most familiar and comfortable with.

As far as concealment goes, the barrel/slide end goes down along the leg...an inch or two either way makes no difference in "printing". It's the grip end where size makes a difference in how well concealed. Since I absolutely can not operate a baby Glock without grip/mag extensions, rendering it the same grip length as my G23, why bother dealing with snappier recoil, shorter sight distance, less accuracy and less capacity? Besides, I live in Blue Ridge, GA. I could walk around town here with a big ol hogleg .44 swinging on my side and no one would give it a second look. So concealment isn't that big of a deal anyway.

19 for sure. I usually carry a Kahr but when it's cooler or I'm heading inside the perimeter I strap on a glock 19. I like that fact that one full magazine has as many rounds as my Kahr plus one full additional mag

I'll tell you why........

.40 sucks especially in anything smaller that a full sized service sized pistol. I have a G22 so if I wanted to do the switcheroo so that negates that.

Secondly, I will not carry a gun with aftermarket parts and that includes barrels.

.40 doesn't do anything any better than a 9mm. In fact more recoil and fewer rounds.....no thanks.

I think the 40 is a good round. I switched to it from 9mm. I like the 9mm too. I think the 40 does provide an advantage with the right ammo, which is important with any caliber. I just like having the option depending on ammo availability.

.40 sucks how? It's certainly not low on body count. Personally, I can't tell the difference in recoil from a 9mm. I'm a pretty big dude though with recoil absorbing hands...so maybe that's part of it. The ONLY caliber I will carry smaller in diameter than .40 is .357 sig or mag. There is no freaking way I would trust my life to 9mm up here. I need better stopping power than 9mm has to offer. My potential SD situations aren't usually about people. It's more related to aggressive or rabid wildlife encounters.
