Glock scratches- voice your opinion

My guess is that it's a rub point where the kydex is rubbing IWB. Looks to be right about where the belt and the holster would be.

It's got kinda a crazy, swirling pattern to it, which is why I thought it MIGHT be something metal that rubbed against it.

We had a guy at my old PD that scrubbed his G22 barrel with a stainless steel brush to get all the "black" off it. Turned it silver. We thought he had removed all the finish from it. As time progressed, it slowly turned back to black. The stainless steel had "rubbed off" on the harder finish on the barrel, making it look silver.

That's crazy.

If it was a Desert Eagle or a High Power, 1911, etc I could see being bothered by the scratches. But this ain't no Sunday Go to Meeting pistol. The scratches are just character marks that go along with the job. It's like the scratch on the side of an AK made by the safety lever. That's just everyday life.

It's a $500-600 gun. Scratches? Really? Forget about it and just shoot the hell out of it. My Gen3 G19 has thousands of rounds through and tons of holster wear. Couldn't care less. If it's that big of a deal buy another and keep it in the box in your safe. The only difference between the two will be one has a pristine finish and the trigger won't be as good. Glock triggers get better the more you shoot them.

It is a Glock not a BBQ gun. Shoot it as much as you can afford the 10mm ammo and as often as you can.
Enjoy it
Lol, Prices on 10mm are actually going down right now due to all of the manufacturers starting to make more of it. It’s becoming very popular…Still rather expensive though.
