Destin is still an expensive place to go. I grew up going to PCB on vacation every year but here lately it has become a dump and a trash hole. Me and the wife have started going to Seagrove and Seaside. Destin is just to crowded. 30a is really nice. It is expensive and we have to put more in the vacation fund. We do go to Destin to the outlet area. But all in all I think Destin is safe. Last time we were in PCB it wasn't spring break but we noticed it has become a little,, well a lot darker than normal. Something you never saw in the 80s and the 90s in PCB. Ill never go back there again. I followed the articles after the shooting down there this year and I knew that they were gonna do something. The mayor of PCB said she would not cancel spring break EVER. She said it brings in too much money and that place needs it. All those condos are just sitting there empty or foreclosed on.

Yea, I like St. Aug and St. Simons. But Destin is the one gulf town that I really like. I just don't want freaknik Jr. coming there.
