The slide rail is worn. Common on worn out carbines. You should have gotten a refund. Seems a bit high for a non-functional rifle. Only thing left of real value is the bolt ($70), trigger group ($125), and slide ($55). Stock is firewood. Unless you have tools how do you get the barrel off. It looks very worn anyways as it almost swallowed a 30.06 round. Better to show MW with a 30 carbine round. Probably go straight to the case. That's probably why he used a 30.06 round. He is no noob. He sells and collects a lot of carbines. I bet this was built up from a barreled receiver or a boltless rifle. He bought a bunch the day I was there. I got a mint Underwood BR.
Sorry bro....Shrevy should have stood behind this piece. Sell a guy a non-functional rifle. He isn't exactly a novice. I would have given you one for sure.
