Good restaurant in downtown Chattanooga?

We're going to be in Chattanooga next month for one night, happens to be my wife's birthday. We're staying right downtown. Any recommendations for a nice dinner?

We went to one country style restaurant right by the aquarium. It was mediocre. The place we liked and went twice ended up going out of business.

Downtown is a ****hole. Carry and keep your head on a swivel.

Damn it's been a few years since I've been, but has it gotten that bad? Last time I was there I stayed downtown at a nice hotel and pretty much walked everywhere. Never had any issues. It was during an Iron Man competition though so maybe the increased LEO and they'd cleaned it up for the event.

Haven't been there in 20 years. Looks like there's no shortage of brew pubs and cocktail/whiskey bars. My kind of place.
