Damn it's been a few years since I've been, but has it gotten that bad? Last time I was there I stayed downtown at a nice hotel and pretty much walked everywhere. Never had any issues. It was during an Iron Man competition though so maybe the increased LEO and they'd cleaned it up for the event.

I couldn’t believe the piss/weed stink and I was briefly followed by a bum in a parking garage. My hand going to my right hip quickly changed his mind.
