Court overturns Marine sniper's conviction for urinating on dead Taliban fighters

I've known this story since I was still active. I won't comment on what other soldiers/marines/airmen/corpsman etc do overseas except to say I always had these dudes back. While I was in, the way these marines were treated gave all of us on the ground in the mud a bad feeling about the climate back home and violated the sacredness of ground combat.
As the airforce fixes updating their record keeping, as I'm sure all branches of the military are, I'm glad to see these cases being revisited.
Regardless of what you believe is right or wrong for our troops while engaged in serious ground combat, if you haven't been there, and haven't done that, then you'll never understand. I'm not mad at anyone who believes these men should have been punished, maybe less severely, maybe more harshly. That is your right. All I'll say is, how did you treat your EPWs and EKIA during your multiple combat deployments overseas?
I'm happy this man can finally be officially recognized for his bravery, heroics, achievements, and sacrifice as well as receive the benefits entitiled to him for such.
I'm an Army Infantryman myself, but today I'm cheering for you jar heads. Enjoy it Devil Dogs.
