Gordon's Reloading Tool

I've been playing with PointBlank, from HuntingNut.com, which has been around a while and has a much more traditional interface, but on the other hand, looks a bit simpler to use.

But Ima gonna take a look at GRT because it looks like a great way to manage reloading recipes and resulting ballistics. And it looks as though it has an active support and development community, which is very important.

Any new handload recipe I start with grt. It helps find accuracy nodes way faster than going at it blindly. Used in conjuction with ocw test and a garmin chronograph it's scary how dialed in you can get a rifle

I stole some time just now from my employer to play with GRT - set up custom projectiles, recreated some of the loads that I've developed and ballistically tested in the past - and the models look pretty damn close. I'm going to have to get to know GRT better.

Just used it to dial in a custom 6.5 CM I had built in about 12 shots. Very important to measure your case capacity of your brass and barrel length. Once you have chronograph results you can use the obt tool to dial in

I’ll start looking at the obt tool soon.

Amazing to me how much powder I've shot that didn't get burned. Now, I'm going back and checking all of my current loads. This may be a busy spring doing more load dev.
