Got carded at AS

How so? They're both lead with little bits of other materiel's attached to them. And I get their policy, but they need to know what their products are. I've worked retail and retail management, if they don't know what's in the store they're not doing their job.
Are you just arguing for the sake of argument? Using your rationale, gunpowder should be sold as well without ID because it's just Sulphur and charcoal, right?

Gunpowder if different, it has inherit properties that make it "dangerous". Those projectiles are no more dangerous than the rocks in their front landscaping or a battery post from the auto parts store.

My point being is the manager could not even distinguish "their policy" as he didn't even know the difference between "ammo" ,and "projectiles" ...I doubt he would risk his job breaking "policy" if I did not make him understand the difference and logic ... They have signs above the ammo, powder , primers and firearms explaining the laws and their policies BUT NOT projectiles which are less dangerous than the racks of knives and fish hooks .
I have a question, is the register ringing you up prompted to ask for ID when these items are scanned?

I didn't drive and take time out of my way to argue but to give them my money ....If I said today was Monday and I showed you a calander showing it is Wednesday what is your reply going to be ? Your defence of "policy" is weak as if it theirs it only shows their ignorance of not knowing the laws of what THEY SELL

Yes is that is when when cashier called for a manager and then I asked for another manager after her backed the cashier up .....Again I really doubt the 2nd manager would risk his job over a $21 purchase after I educated him

so it proves my point that it's a corporate policy and not up to the store management to dictate what is or isn't "ammunition"
