challenge it. ask for proof that the cop had his radar checked and documented to ensure that it is properly reading. there's other things too that u can do to challenge, soon as i remember them i'll let u know

got my first ever speeding ticket today (longish story)

Ok here is what you do.......get a copy of your drivers history from dmv website. (To show court u have a clean record) if u do?.....then tell the boss u need to take the truck and have speedometer calibrated and fixed. Take paperwork showing the speedometer was inaccurate with your drivers history to court. Ask them If you can plead to improper speedometer(equipment).this charge will not effect your insurance or give u points on drivers license.

Actual speed is what matters. However, because it was not your truck, you may be able to get out of the ticket, just say you didnt know about the tires and such. I've seen many people get off tickets this way, just depends on the judge.

yea i called in to the courthouse and worked my way through the chain of powers. i was told it will be thrown out if we take the truck to a garage and have it documented that the speedo isnt working. oh and thank you z3 for the avatar change, it says alot about what kind of photos you keep in your folder 
Next time just floor it, that way when you do get a ticket it's well deserved. Worked for me 
i'd talk to the boss about it since it is his equipment.
