Grandpa’s Hidden Secrets

I have an Iron Cross that looks similar to yours, except that it's just a pendant. There's no ring on the top, and there's an arm and a clasp on the back. It was worn as a shirt/coat medallion. It has the same year, 1939, as yours. It was given to the family by a friend over 50 years ago. He lifted it off a dead soldier in Germany.
It's a Iron Cross 1st class.

That dagger is closer to 600-700 to collectors. The blade is not in the best condition and it is missing the portepee and hangers.

12-1500 is the price that retailers think they can get from these daggers. Even in pristine condition, the most you'd see a 2nd model luftwaffe dagger is 1100 unless there is something very special about it
Like I said I’m no expert, I have seen them go for this.

Maybe the collectors will die off, then there won’t be any buyers👀

Thanks I just know when I found them the estate sale person was saying I should burn it all cause they claim “ It’s illegal to own” !
Then I said I might ask ppl on here and they said the government don’t allow Swasticas items to be shown it’s hateful lol
That’s why I figured I’d refrain from posting some of it especially the flag and banners.
I do plan to keep the pistol it’s pretty nicely engraved but the rest I have no idea 🤷.
Is there someone specific that can be contacted about this sorta thing ?

The arm band was in very good shape just had some nasty under sweat stained from some German DNA 😂

The dagger scares me cause it in some places near the corrosion almost looked like potential 🩸 😷…

I knew he was there he always talked about his battles and experiences and how he had met some American YES ANERICAN Nazi POW !! 🤯.
That was very nice but because they was Germanic heritage went home to fight for Hitler SMH

The estate agent is a moron... I suggest that you secure all of that stuff and take it to your house as soon as possible.

I'd love to see more pictures of what you have. If I'm not mistaken there is usually a guy who has WWII stuff at the ODT show. I'm assuming he'll be there this weekend. He might be a good staring place in getting you a estimate of the value of your stuff.

I think what the agent said is true only in Germany today. Not a problem in the USA as war mementos.

I am half-German and don't have a problem with Nazi stuff, it is historic relics to me, just interesting.

I had a few items but the "spousal unit" made me sell them to preserve "peace on the home front". I still regret it

My grandpa was a German American that fought against the Germans. I believe he spent most of his time on his belly disarming German land mines in the middle of the night.
Not many of his coworkers made it back from that line of work.
Never talked about the war to anyone besides other vets. Never watched war movies or allowed them to be watched in his home. He didn't like us grandkids playing war with our toy guns and didn't want any of us joining the military.

He died when I was in my early 20's. I'd give anything to talk with him today.

Not a single item you have is illegal to own.
Second those items are in awesome condition and will bring good money.
I collect WWII items from all sides and have some of the items you have in my collection.
There are a few good people to talk to about these items you have.
I would go to the next gun show and there are two guys always set up at the local gun shows who can give good advice about your items.
As suggested do not sell to the first person that gives you a quote on prices, but wait till you have several quotes.
I collect these items and if still lived in Georgia would look at them for free and tell you what I think.
But I can not tell you value just by pictures.
Just my .02 worth.
Nice find.

My Nazi Ring that is worth 10k
