Mother's metal polish.

Bronze or brass wool. Never steel wool.

Yeah I thought of steel wool immediately but was afraid to say it. Do NOT take my word for it but I'm thinking some type of rubbing/polishing compound. Although I'd be very careful to keep it out of the engraving or etched area above.

I think I am going to Call a gunsmith about the issue and see what he can do about it. Its not the end of the world as I use the gun for clays but you would think a 3,000 dollar shotgun would have a better finish than that. I have read several similar issues after researching it myself to and this is by far not the first gun it has happened to

Jewelers polishing cloth will take that right out. Don't use steel wool or anything else harsh in my opinion

I used super fine steel wool & penetrating oil on the bottom of the B80 you now have. Look at it for reference.
