Gun Safes

cannons are great, really any majob brands just make sure to get one that fire protected.
It really just depends on how much you budget can allow, and how big.

Don't have a comment on brand, but get larger than you think you'll need...because you will need it.
this... stay away from cannons, they all seem like junk to me. also stay away from digital locks. I have a browning pro steel with a combo lock and love it other that i am about to outgrow it

Agree. Buy large or you will end up out growing and needing to purchase another or larger safe. I've been looking recently and seems that Liberty, Browning and Winchester are decent safes. Shop around to find the best deal out there.

Browning and Winchester Gun safes I feel are over priced since I feel you are paying for the name to a point. I forget what mine is, but it is a quality safe. I agree with going with the combo locks over digital since digital locks can fail, mechanical locks are less likely to do so.

Update: Just went down to check, the gun safe I have is a Canon, though its a real old one that I bought for $500 a couple years back through a friend from a firearms supplier, the safe had been sitting in the back of a warehouse to 15+ years.

Liberty could be making them for Winchester, that main reason why I said to stay away from them, you are paying for the name as far as I am concerned. You may want to try call the manufacture see if you can get a blemished one at a discount, unless you are looking at the safe from a piece of art standpoint.

I also hated the electronic locks till i researched them and found they are foolproof and the most secure and way easier to use. You set your own combination and you can have multiple combo for more than one user. Can come in real handy if you need something out of the safe quick. I can highly recomend Randys pawn shop in trenton,Ga. He sells liberty in new and scratch and dent at super deals. Mostly the expense is in the amount of fire protection you desire. Like someone said go big because whatever you get will soon be too small.
