I'm lucky enough to be a coach in the 4H shotgun program here in Georgia. We start training our kids from 6th grade and up. We have them shoot thousands of rounds starting in January. They attempt to qualify to advance to the state shoot at Rock Eagle in May. We have collectively, 1000 kids gave or take, that shoot 27,000 + rounds rain or shine on that Saturday. All of the kids handle their firearms safely and no one gets hurt because they are ALL TAUGHT FIREARMS SAFETY!!!!! It cannot be stressed enough!

This is exactly why they will refuse to allow honest safety training to occur to the naive. They don't care how many have to die. It's a psychological point on their spear, to personify an inanimate object, to marginalize-criminalize a constitutional right and to demonize the gun owner.

It work great in England, parts of Europe, Australia, Vietnam/Cambodia and Venezuela etc.
