Gun Shows: Does Anyone Go Anymore?

I used to go to a few around the Metro Atlanta Area, but haven't in over three years (prices just got to far out of line with reality!).

Anything different these days? Worth going to for reloading supplies / firearms?

I am not going to pay! $8.00 just to get in the door. That could buy some ammo.

I take my boys when they have one in Cartersville. I wouldn't go out of my way to one though. I got a couple good deals for Christmas last year.

The shows in Georgia are in the dumps right now. Have been for a year or so. The promoters here have gotten complacent.

I haven't been to a gun show in a few months. My Dad and a couple uncles like to go from time to time so when I go, I go with them. Its fun to hang with them. Otherwise I doubt if I would ever go.

Prices are still too high at local gun shows.

Went to Marietta yesterday. The days of a line around the building at opening time are gone. My guess, about 30 people in line. Got a decent crowd around 11:00 or so. As usual at RK shows, Cherokee Pawn was there and had their usual good prices. Not nearly as much individual trading as in the past. But,,,the air conditioning was magnificent.

I go to the Big Gun Show in Atlanta once a year. I make it a father-n-son event. WE do half the booths eat lunch there then finish the rest of the show. I usually look for Super .38 and .380 ammo.
