Gun store with high end 1911’s in stock

Autreys Armory used to be a stocking Ed Brown dealer. I've seen nighthawk and Wilson in there also. It changed ownership several years ago and Im not sure any more. They are in fayetteville Ga

Amd it doesn't exist any more.
Correct. It's now Gunsmoke. I could not stand it when it was Hi Caliber. Went once and never went back.

Big Woods is probably my favorite LGS nearest to me and I've spent a ton there over the years, but Palmetto State Armory was an experience of its own when I went last month.

I like GA Firing line myself or Cherokee Gun n Pawn but both those indoor ranges have their plus and minus over the many years.

Big woods goods was better when it was over the Domino's right by 575. The new building over just cost the too much, IMO.

Didn’t have a great first experience at GAFL, but have spoken to staff there since and it seems like they got it together. Would give them another shot, especially for suppressors.

Always heard Cherokee G&P is good and have the best prices; only complaint I’ve heard is their shop is tiny lol.

I’ve always known Big Woods’ current location at the old skating rink. Back when Cody was their gunsmith, it was a really fun experience as a first time gun owner as they had guys who’d been in the business forever with great insight and stories and had a unique selection (including late HS Police Officer Joe Burson). It’s still a great gun store and I go there at least monthly, but I don’t recognize anyone there anymore except Chris, who’s a manager, and it makes me a little sad, especially after Joe passed away.
