I am just wondering why people post pictures of dirty, rusted, mistreated firearms for sale....why not clean them up first? I have seen rusty guns posted with no effort to clean them first and pics of the end of barrels that look nasty they are so dirty. It seems that if you want top dollar, you would use a little common sense and a touch of ambition. I am usually never interested in a gun that has signs of obvious neglect and I am willing to bet a lot of others feel the same. What do ya'll think?

Many times it may be fear of what may be uncovered if they clean it up. It's like trading cars. I like a little road film on mine when I go trade. That way all those fine little scratches aren't shining in the sun?

I think it should be cleaned up too, I mean honestly I wouldn't want to receive a dirty gun, so I wouldn't give somebody else one. Plus like you said, to get top dollar you should make it look as good as it can...

There are 3 little words that was stated in your post above that is a rarity in the world today. COMMON SENSE and AMBITION. It is a sad thing but more than likely this is the reason, or they just don't give a **** and are lazy.

Some people were just not meant to be sales people lmao
A little effort goes a long way on a sale! That is unless your giving it away!
