I have an old Mossberg pump 12 gauge that needs a little work. The shells won't stay in the mag so it is currently non functional. Looking for someone in Conyers/Covington area that can repair it. I really don't think it needs much but I have no inclination to take it apart. Anybody know someone that can do it in my area? Please pm as I will probably forget to check the thread!

Check the cartridge stop. Make sure it's not cacked up (grease/field debris), not excessively worn and most importantly it is present. $14.65 at Numrich.

These shotguns are not too difficult to field strip and if you own one or better if it has or is used in the field then it should be broken down occasionally and detail cleaned/lubed.

Once you see it broken down it should be apparent why I suggest you give this a chance yourself. Brass rod at Lowes for a couple bucks hacksawed to length and a few gentle taps with a hammer on the trigger housing pin and your there dude. Please report back on your findings, hurdles or challenges (if any).

P.S. don't take the trigger group apart. Spray it down with brake or carb cleaner, tooth brush and compressed air then a light lube should be all that is if ever needed.
