GWL Holder Shoots Cop Killer at Griffin Waffle House

A woman, identified as Shawntel Nixon, started fighting the officer. Jordan tried to arrest her.

That's when police say 30-year-old Michael Bowman of Griffin shot Jordan several times in the back as the officer handcuffed Nixon on the ground. The bullets pierced through Jordan's vest.

Jordan's brother was visiting the officer at the restaurant. He had a permit to carry a gun, pulled out his weapon and shot back at Bowman.

Bowman was taken to an Atlanta hospital.

i couldnt imagine what i would do if that was my brother i watched get shot. my carry would be unloaded on him for sure, but the cops would have to show up and taze me to get me to stop mashing his face into a bloody pulp into the pavement after i unloaded my mags in him.

Truly a tragedy. Good to hear that the brother was a responsible gun owner. He showed great restraint in not finishing the thug off. If it were me there would be no way to identify the cop killer. Survived by 7 children. Sad world we live in.

Saw this first thing this AM , very sad. I am curious on the type of weapon and ammo the bad guy used to kill the LEO. Article said he was wearing body armor..

Body armor is a joke! Usually bought based on cost. And worn well past the expiration date.

Waffle House is a no gun zone, so I don't carry there, just like all thugs, criminals & felons who abide by gun laws. Wonder what happened here? The reality is THIS is our Second Amendment up close & personal albeit too late for our LEO but stopped from further chaos by the LEO's brother, who now must live with that horrific nightmare forever. May God comfort him & the LEO's family. May Satan take his servant from the hospital bed straight to hell.

My understanding the officer was shot 3 times in the back where there is little or no armor protection from the vest. A sad day in Griffin.
