Go with a guide on Lanier. Several good ones. Half day probably cost about $400 or so. You will not be disappointed. I used to take. Y boys once a year. Always caught fish.

Look up Jimbo on Lanier on Facebook or YouTube for a good outing on Lake Lanier. He specializes in Bass fishing and can do a half-day morning or afternoon. He provides everything you would need.
