Have you ever witnessed something that absolutely freaked you out?

Too many to share. I was laid up in the hospital. In a bad way. I was completely aware , but unable to move around. The side table had a vase of flowers. The table was in the middle of the room. The nurse had moved it so she could do whatever.
She leaves. That vase flew off the table and smashed against the wall. She comes back in and wants to know what happened. Well it obviously wasnt me. She quietly cleaned it up and said nothing more. Almost like it wasnt the first time she has dealt.

A girl tried to slip her thumb up my rear while I was railin’ her and I about jumped through the ceiling. Does that count as freaked out?
Yeah, I can see why that might freak you out.

Too much to list and or remember.
But the most current thing that freaks me out is every day since my wife was diagnosed with cancer and now 6 months after she passed not a day goes by where I don’t look at the clock , any clock at random times through the day while doing busy work and the time shows numbers in succession like 1:11,2:22,3:33,4:44,5:55, 10:10, 11:11, 12:12.
Of course not every hour on the hour but at least three-four times a day.
I will look up for whatever reason and the clock next to my bed reads 5:55.
I don’t sleep much any longer and I often peek at the clock before a slam my head on the pillow and it’s 2:22 more often than not.
I can be doing a million things around the house, at work or just driving or hanging up the phone or picking up my phone to look at a text and it’s 4:44, or 2:22.

The kicker is my wife took her last breath at 3:33am.

She used to tell me I was on the right path when I would point these numbers out to her.

Interesting. I know it's hard, but it will get easier. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other......

In 2003 I was stationed on USS Tennessee SSBN 734 when we were tasked with performing a burial at sea for ashes of a first class petty officer that had recently passed away. The burial ceremony was done during the day. That night while we were back underway and deep I was walking in the missile compartment when a buddy of mine who was on watch walked up to me. This guy was as white as a sheet and wouldn't speak. He was clearly freaked out. I asked him what was wrong and he tells me he was taking logs in upper level when he turned around and looked towards the end of the row of missile tubes to see a first class petty officer in a dixie cover and wearing dungaree clothing standing there. The figure looked at him and walked into the missile tube. This became the ghost of USS Tennessee. Fast forward to earlier this year when I'm on the same boat telling this story and about 10 crew members all verified this ghost is still there.
