On what basis? ATF can't make laws. Any rules they make have to be in context of the laws already on the books. Congress will have to restrict it, and I doubt they'll go there.

DANG! 14+1 capacity. I dont see why the ATF can put any smack down on them, 26" over all length, 18.5" barrel, Sounds legal to me.
I guess the hi capacity could be an issue?

That's just incorrect.

They are working within the law, passed by Congress.

Myself, I'll be interested to see what the ruling is, because, as imported, I think the Saiga-12 CAN be shown to have a sporting purpose, at least as much so as any other shotgun.

Now, modified out like a Tromix ....uhhh, I don't think so ....but that happens post importation, so BATFE would not have any ground on which to properly stand.
