Hello, I'm mtdawg169 and I'm a parts snob.

He got banned several years ago. I guess he rubbed too many people the wrong way.
I still follow him on Facebook but he's not as much fun as he was on M4.

OH, You know what, I am on another forum that he is a member of and I was confusing the two. He is NOT banned on that other forum

mtdawg169 mtdawg169 , honest question.

can you tell me why people dislike Anderson Arms AR's so much?

I happen to like them and have checked the forge marking on the upper and lower of one that I have and, they seem to or at least appear to be made by quality companies. I do understand that after the forging process they are shipped to the different manufacturers for their roll markings and specific finishing.

My Anderson Upper (Square Forge Marking) Which appears to be used by Delton, BCM, and Colt
My Anderson Lower (Keyhole Forge Marking) Which appears to be used by Knights Armament, and Colt

Is this not correct?

The one I am referring to is my RF85 Treated Anderson Arms AR that I purchased from them and did not have assembled by "dude the AR Builder". Thank you for your awesome knowledge.

Is that the no lube AR?

Yes it is and I have not lubed it yet. Put 200 rounds through it, took it home, cleaned it up with soap and water like the directions said (Strange for me being Retired Army BTW). Wiped it dry, put it back together and a few weeks later put another 300 rounds through it. No malfunctions, no problems what soever. I brought it home, cleaned it with again, soap and water. Have not put a drop of oil on it and it's ready for the next outing. Everything looks good and no visible wear on anything yet.

BTW, I only shoot M855, 62 grain through it.

Simple and straight forward. Nice write up. I agree with OP 100% but would also like to say that your ammo selection can be just as important because the same thing happened with that as well. When 5.56 or 9mm etc.... couldn't be touched you had over night manufacturers pop up. Anyone that could afford a few dillons and watch youtube videos had an assembly line in their garage trying to fill gaps. I have personally witnessed quality, factory built guns and guns assembled with high end parts have major malfunction issues and damage from sub par ammo sellection. Just throwing it out there.
