For those that know me, I am a GM for a QSR.

I have a safe that will not open. It has not opened all day. The company that makes the safe (CSS) wants to charge a very high amount to give me the master rest.

This is crazy. There safe is malfunctioning.

Yes I have entered the correct code. Yes I have changed the battery.

Can any ODT member help?

Nope... Next option?

Most manufacturers have a key pad that you push up on slide pins and it exposes a key hole if you have the key..If not contact the manufacturer have the serial number and hope you have the receipt or where you purchased from..You will have to fax the info to them after phone conversation and all have an override combo to solve this problem good luck. They want $120 for an overide combo.....

youtube..type in model of safe..
I bet you are into it in the next 10mn..

I sat and watched people open safes all day on youtube..simply amazing..
I love the guy that slides a thin piece of metal(like a coke can)in along the door frame, and then the safe thinks the door is open..
he then enters a new code(twice)..pulls out the thin piece of metal and enters the code the 3rd time and opens the safe..
(Amazing stuff)

I have a Sentry with a similar keypad, when I fist got it I had to call customer service because it would not open. Long story short I had to get Duracell or Energizer batteries, wont work with any other brand.
