acquired a tec 9 the other day,then read someones post on here about pre ban law going on?& they may go up in price?any help on this subject,thanks in advance guys..Will.

p.s. this is has a heat shield & threaded barrel,30 something round clip, serial #F001***,plus someone steel wooled the finish,(real smart).

yup. You got one of the better ones too. The post ban ones without the head shield are not as cool.
Wrong place to post but don't worry about the "pre-ban" and "post-ban." Only difference between the two is just the shrouded barrel and threaded barrel. The pre-ban has a shrouded barrel and should be marked "DC-9" and post-ban doesn't and should be a "AB-10." Its just a chance for anti-firearm idiots to waste people's time.
