Help Value this AK47

Global Machine and Tool was never an importer of AK’s…..They were/are a small machine shop in Texas that produced AK receivers.

Your AK is either a home built using a dimilled Yugo kit, or a Century Arms build doing the same. There is no real way to determine which by just looking at the rifle as Century didn’t stamp the receiver with their company info because, wait for it……it was never an import.

The real question in determining the value is the barrel source. Is it a OEM Yugo barrel that came with the kit or is it a “new” barrel? OEM Yugo barrels were at best dark bore and frosted (due to firing Yugo corrosive ammo in a bore not chrome lined) or dark bore and pitted (due to the same). The value form most valuable to least is

(1.) frosted
(2.) mildly pitted
(3.) new replacement US barrel
(4.) pitted.

Yugo kit builds with OEM Yugo barrels in good shape, like all things that are no longer allowed to be imported, have become collectible to some.

So what do you put the value at?

WASRs are going down?? Where??

It depends on the origin of the barrel. A numbers matching Yugo barrel would increase the price of the kit build considerably. A Yugo demilled kit with an original barrel in decent shape would probably be north of $1000.

just at first look based off photos its of Yugoslavia dissent, based off the grenade launcher sight on the gas block. Also based off the wording on the receiver it was a parts build kit and assembled here in the US. This means it was imported here as a torch cut parts kit and then assembled fully by the company on the side of the receiver. Machine guns are cut up in these Eastern European countries and sold as parts kit to make them legal to import.

Someone here could probably have a better assessment of value, I'd say anywhere from 700-1000.
I think you mean descent, lol.
