Help with picking a new edc

You've narrowed it down to 3 options that have all proven to be reliable, durable tools. Perhaps with one having a slightly better track record versus the rest. Depends on what reviews you read.

So since the tools are capable, the only outlier is the craftsman. It sounds like you are also up to snuff and the choice of tool won't affect performance in a quantifiable way. So I would say it would come down to a measure of preference, if you're able to handle all of them that would be better than buying blind, and market support.

Selection of holsters, upgrades you might consider, parts replacement, mags, and the cost of these things definitely warrant some forethought.

Great viewpoint! They are just tools
I’d much rather be able to shoot all 3 at a range vs somewhat blind but all 3 I’d trust however the echelon has been having magazine issues so I’ll let them work out before purchasing or it’ll get replaced on my list with maybe an m18 or a legion Sig.
The aftermarket upgrades I don’t often look too deep into if the firearm runs smoothly for me but I do consider it, of course replacement parts and mags for that just incase situation plus you can never have too many mags.
Holsters I don’t worry about too much bc I know quite a few ppl that custom make them and I personally was thinking about making some as well after seeing how easy it was

Seriously appreciate the insight!

My ppq will be upgraded to the pdp pro sd
But since I’ve never owned a canik but father has an elite combat and rival and he and tons of others swear by the triggers not to mention Taran’s involvement without crazy prices ($900 at academy) I’ll go grab it on Friday.

the beretta apx I never carry anymore. When it first came out I purchased the first 2 in the state, sold one to a cousin and kept the other. I use to really like it and now it doesn’t even get shot. Newer striker firearms just feel that much better but I’m definitely accurate with it.
Guns are like tattoos, once you start you just can’t stop… rather spend my money on guns than liquor, drugs and strip clubs though.

So from this week to Christmas I’ll do:
Canik TTI Combat
Walther Pdp pro sd (grey)
Debate on the Echelon
FN 510 ( being gifting it to me for my birthday)
Jakl.308 ( whenever it comes out) copycat scar
Some kind of 1911/2011
And a 338 lapua

Sounds like another $6500 in firearms. Maybe I won’t get the itch for a little while bc I seriously want to get the new 800hp Tahoe as well 👀🤦🏾‍♂️

You know better than that lol
I’ve personally never carried a true compact. Smaller gun I’ve carried daily is the cz p10c

In all seriousness, i bought a new carry gun a few weeks ago and it came down to the 43x or 365 - i chose the 43 because I've carried Glocks for many years and it just felt very familiar. In hindsight the 365 might have been a better choice, but muscle memory made that decision for me.

Take a look at the Bul- Armory SAS 2011. Same as the Staccato but 1/3rd-1/2 less. I have both and prefer the bul-armory. I carry the superlite with optic. I do love the Staccato P but much larger footprint.

Something you shoot well. Try rentals / buddies stuff first. Wear it all day if you can, sitting, driving, etc..
Then make a decision.
6 rounds is plenty. You got to hit what you aim at. Otherwise carry a tire tool, baseball bat, or bear spray.
