Help with racking slide

My friend is a cancer patient who I just purchased a cheap 1911 for. He said it was the best Christmas gift he has ever received. The only problem is he doesn't have the strength to rack the slide. Not to mention he is missing a finger on his left hand because of a cancer operation. Does anyone know where I can some sights like some of the Kimber's have where you can rack it on a hard surface? It is for a Rock Island 1911. Or any other suggestions?

What kind of grip is he getting on the slide? My wife had a hard time until I showed her a different way.

Someone posted this on another thread (I forget who or what thread) and it is the way I showed my wife. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the link. He basically only has one decent hand. That is why it is so difficult for him. That is why I felt like maybe the cocking sight would be a good idea.
