I am not sure but I believe it is legal as long as you can't see the bottom of the shell sticking out of the barrel....as long as it has a full length butt-stock. Just my opinion...

This a 410 I carried in my canoe for years. 18" barrel, a little over 26" long overall. Would have cut the stock to a 26" overall length but the long bolt that holds the stock ended right there were I cut it.

I've done several just like this over the years. Cost zero dollars. Just do this and be done with it.
