Hendersonville, NC suggestions

My cousins and I are heading for a get together in Hendersonville in a few weeks. Looking for recommendations in the area: anyone have experiences they can suggest? No kids on this trip. We’re planning a trip to Asheville for a brewery trip but otherwise want to stay closer to the rental cabin/Saluda area. Preferable 30 minutes or less from Hendersonville.

Yeah, we’re going to Asheville for a bit and planning to visit Malt Disneyworld (Sierra Nevada).

I really like Oscar Blues brewing in Brevard, smaller but fun brewery. Rockys hot chicken shack has a location in Arden and W Asheville. I love Pisgah national forest. Lots of great hiking and MNT biking, check out Dupont State forest as well. (Bridal veil falls in dupont is awesome) where they filmed parts of The last of the mohicans.

Lake Lure/Chimney Rock is worth the drive…nice seafood restaurant on the water.
Also, the Tryon Equestrian Show Grounds is worth a visit…the throwback diner there has a great menu, especially breakfast.

Harrah's Casino in Cherokee.....it has great dining.....Guy Fieri, Gordon Ramsey, Indoor bowling alley and a great Non smoking Casino!!
