Henry Lever Action 22LR issue

Henry 22lr Lever Action Carbine -Today when firing CCI Mini Mags and Standard Velocity rounds I got some pretty severe gas blow back -seems to be coming from the bottom of the action and maybe the ejection port. It’s ruptured the shells as well. My hand that’s holding the fore end and face both catch the blast.
When working the action it loads and ejects smoothly. After the intial rounds fired I cleaned the bore and chamber. After the cleaning it I shot a few more rounds. It continued the same action. I just shot it 2 days ago without issue.
I will detail strip and clean it next step.
Anyone have this occur in a lever action?

Dang! I would contact cci. Does it do the same thing with other brands? I’ve never had an issue with mine and have shot everything through it. Not a single failure at all. Probably 2000 rounds

Don't fire that rifle anymore! Send it back to henry with the spent brass.
