No i have not ever taken classes, i was always able to draw well growing up (im 29 now) and it kind of developed into painting.

Thanks, i am very curious to hear how other people see them. i have thick skin so i appreciate any opinions.

did you go to school to learn how to use oil paints?, just wondering because i never went to any art studios or classes.

I saw your drawings, they are good. If you can draw you can paint, most all detailed or wildlife paintings start with a good drawing. i draw all of the paintings on the canvas (usually in charcoal, sometimes pencil) before i start painting. If you cant draw you cant paint well, so you should give it a try. Use oil, too many acrylic paintings now days because artist can pump them out real quick and sell them. oils make much better paintings and are worth more.

thats why i was wondering if you took a class or something because of the shading, thats what i was really looking at because the shading around the fist duck looks cool with the red glowing out of the black. and i like the way the eyes dont blend with the other colors around it.

Thanks, it looks better than the pictures show. I actually didn't use black in any of the paintings. I rarely ever use use black, the way you use colors tricks the eye into thinking something is black but it's really not, and the camera shows it as more of a black than it really is.

These are some really good oil paintings!! They would look good in my man room when my wife and I get a house and move out of the old apartment. Keep up the good work, these are good!!
