Hello,

I just managed to acquire a Hi-Point 995 (older style stock) and a ATI replacement stock - for a song (one was dirt cheap and one was a very good deal).

Haven't ever worked with Hi-Points before - has anyone here done this modification before?

Are there any tips and tricks of which I should be aware...before I start?

VR,

Mugsy

It is very simple. I'm not sure if it is still an issue, but when the stocks first came out some people had trouble lining up the receiver cover holes with the holes on the new stock. Mine was tight but I was able to make it work without modifying it. Aside from that, it is really simple. The internal laser they make to work with it is really cool too.

Krylon it; just like here:

That's my brother's work. I'm not sure I'd try it! If I ever posted pictures of a gun paint job I did, I'd have people thinking it was just a badly distorted picture. :)

Hi point has a life time warranty, but will not honor it if the stock has been replaced with an ATI stock. Kep the old stock and replace it if you ever have to send it back for work.

Yes all HIGH-POINT firearms carry a lifetime warranty. It doesnt matter if you are the original or the tenth owner. Shortly after buying my carbine I broke the magazine keeper and they sent me a replacement free of charge. All they asked for was what happened and they verified the serial number. If it is something major you will have to send in the firearm for repair. The guy told me that they will go through each gun returnred and repair or replace everything that needs it, except the finish.
