The old sniper rifles
(HK, Sako, AI ectera) were built to take a beating and maintain accuracy.
I was privy to some test data on some high dollar rifles that measured that abuse and maintained better than moa accuracy.
This was the start of chassis systems and composite stocks that we have today.

I can assure you the Finland shooters are used to inclement conditions.

There have been some pretty spectacular wartime shots made with Winny Model 70’s topped with 10X Unertls.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to start a flame war. I apologize if I did. I just find the Mk5 to be a good value but like you, I wouldn't pay retail for one.

This! I got mine open box special that wasn't open box. If I'd paid full retail, I'd have sent it back. I like mid power and the get 2 razor outperforms it.

My skills are not worthy of an expensive rig. Arthritis and a neck injury prevents me from shooting in the prone position. My Bergara with a Vortex Viper are more than I need.

You cannot go wrong there.
