I will be going to Eglin AFB soon to start working there as a Ranger Cadre. They say the hunting there is pretty good as well especially for hogs. Anyone heard anything different?

I personally use my Marlin 30-30 for hogs and deer, I find it to be a great weapon. So far stalking has been a great way of at least finding them for me.
They are tough though and unless you shot them in the heart / head they will keep on running.

I'm in.
When I shot hogs at Benning, they required hunter safety course (no age exclusion) and an additional permit for hunting on base. No biggie, just sit through a video and take a test.
We saw one little bittie hog, it got shot by a 300 winmag.
