Holy HiPoint Batman

people are so full of sh1t on the internet... there IS A DIFFERENCE

between people saying they "know a guy whos brothers step moms cousins 2nd sisters uncle" saw one explode and kill the shooter... but i can GUARANTEE YOU... i could pull up EVIDENCE of smith and wessons exploding more than hipoints.. easily 3 to 1.. theres is literally a Handfull of hipoint failures on the internet compared to the hundreds of smiths glocks taurus's and other "mainstream" guns

i would personally take an american made product with hands down the BEST warranty out there.. no matter if your the 1st or 10 owner without papers you can send your guns back to the factory regardless if its having issues or just needs some maintence and they will make it like new

over the past year ive put well over 1000k rounds through my C9 without one failure.. every once inawhile these guns do have problems.. but its ALWAYS related to the magazines used.. tweak the magazine lips if your unlucky and problem solved.. gun snobbery is everywhere.. and i can outshoot my sig p2022 9mm no problem with the hipoint.. and my dads Glock 22c

and for a torture test, i cant believe nobody posted these NO gun should be able to take a beating like this..

multiple parts in this series.. please watch and educate yourselfs before talking trash on a budget gun.. its not Built to be some super compact concealed carry gun.. they are reliable if you choose to use it for self defense.. but they are a GREAT choice for somebody getting into the shooting hobby.. rather than spending 500 on a Gluck.. test the waters with a hipoint

Well, to be fair, There are probably 1,000 times more of those guns out there. So, yeah, 3 to 1 isn't bad.

I've never owned one, but I did shoot one. I didn't like it. At all. It literally felt like shooting a brick with bad sights.

However, it did go bang every time and, in the end, that's all that counts.

If I had NO guns and only enough money for a Hi Point, I would buy one. It would definitely beat ugly stares and a "pointy stick".

*QUOTE=Hunng;337410...the frequency of hi point catastrophic failures is well beyond anything else...
.....there are far more hi point breakages out there than anything else...
.....its because they break more....
.....they do when they do."end QUOTE

I presume u can verify those statements if asked to do so?

and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding."

Well obviously you didnt read the whole thread, i was asked this and responded.

Well i guess that puts me in my place...so because there are 10 times as many other branded BETTER pistols out there, than hi points, you proving there are more failures with them mean something? we're talkin percentages, not volume.

I guess its ok for you to quantify your outrage with internet videos and hearsay but not me right?

and because you can outshoot this one and that one with your mighty hi point against their crappy breaking down "3 times as much" as a hi point pistol, that means the hi point is a great viable pistol not made of pot metal? come on man.

My small and short experience with hi point firearms is not by accident...i feel they are cheap junk, thats my opinion...im very happy some pop off thousands of rounds with their inexpensive firearm, it just wont be me, and EVERYTIME i hear about how great they are for the money, i'm going to shoot it down, pun intended...get over it fellas.

So you're going to challenge other peoples experiences with Hi Point, even when that experience is significantly greater than your own and you have no hard facts to back your point up. You feel that your own anecdotal evidence along with stuff you found on the Internet trumps someone who has spent a lot of time on these weapons.

Well, I guess that's about all there is to say about it. When you know better than someone with vastly more experience and you have random strangers on the Internet to back you up, I guess that's all you need, right?

dunkel, i feel my simple hi point experience was enough...i never denied the hi points work...i suppose when they do, they do...not much else i can say.

my argument was never if they work or not or if someone with more experience than me with them, knows if they work or not...my argument was they are junk.

Gotcha.

I know the are horrible because everyone on here says they are....lol!
Just kidding...I did have one at one time. My only problem with it was that I could not find a holster for it. It was a jammomatic but was fun to shoot melons. Would I ever own another one...nah....but it goes boom and can defend one's life if need be for someone who is on a budget....

Jesus Christ!!! It's one thing to get in a heated arguement over politics, or religion but you're at eachothers throats... Only one way to settle this... 5 hi points and 5 glocks, springfields or m and ps. 1000 rounds through each.... No cleaning no stopping just shooting. If the hi point hangs then it's good,

here ya go hung.. you want some NUMBERS here ya go.. these were 4 years ago... hipoints popularity has increased ALOT in the past few years and these numbers must be even higher now

In 2007 HiPoint actually used, and might still use, three different manufacturers to build their firearms.

Beemiller Inc. for their 380 and 9 mill. handguns as well as all their carbines.

Iberia Firearms Inc. for their 40 S&W caliber pistols. And

Haskell Manufacturing for their .45 acp caliber pistols.

Together, they made 121,240 pistols and 19,200 rifles (carbines) for a total of 140,440 firearms produced.

Individually the numbers read:
78,090 pistols and 19,200 rifles (Carbines) for Bemiller
19,750 pistols for Iberia
23,400 pistols for Haskell

If HiPoint was able to use that total number instead of it being devided among the three factories, HiPoint would be acknolwedged of producing more fireamrs in 2007 than Kel Tec, Sig Sauer, and Savage Arms. Putting them in the number 7 spot of top 25 Firearm Manufacturers. (Officially, Beemiller is ranked 10th for HiPoint.)
