Homeowners association security guards pulling people over....

1. they'd never get their hands on my license.
2. They attempt to keep me from driving away I will have them arrested.

This along with about 100 other things is the exact reason I'll never live under the junk of a Homeowner's Association.

I hate my HOA. I had a security guard try and pull me over at Walmart one night. Pulled behind me flashing his high beams and hitting his horn. I only pulled to the side thinking he was going to tell me I had a brake light out or something.

He walked up beside my car and asked for my DL and for me to put out my cigarette. I told him no and he started acting all tough. He asked again and asked for me to turn my car off, once again I said no. Then the jackass said, well do we need to call the police out here? I said sure and called 911 for him. Cobb county police showed up a few minutes later.

When the real police officer got there I got out of my car. I was OCing at the time, the security guard literally ran to the cop to beat me there. So I leaned against the back of my car and lit another cigarette just to piss of the security guard. The cop came over to me and asked what happened so I told him. The cop asked me to hold on a second and he went back and arrested the security guard for impersonating a police officer, apparently that security guard had been doing that **** alot and I was the first one to refuse to listen to him.

Then the cop joked in front of the guy in cuffs that its funny the security guard couldn't carry a gun and he was trying to act tough to a guy with a gun. THe cop never asked for my license or carry permit and shook my hand when he left. I got a call a couple days later from the store manager to apologize and a 50$ gift card.

Be prepared for this if you ever go up to Big Canoe. Those crazy bastards think they part of a swat operation. Yes, they are making traffic stops with flashing lights and sirens. Yes, they are shooting radar and writing speeding tickets. Looks to me they are impersonating LEO's to me. Checking ID at entrance gate of any guest and if the driver does not have an U.S. issued driver's licensee.... sorry no entry to the community. Video cameras all over the community...... don't get me started..... Really has become a small police state community.......

Whether they are impersonating or not depends upon what the residents signed on to when they moved in and made themselves subject to the HOA rules and reg.If the rules says the homeowners assn can employ Security and empower them in this manner and you sign onto that..it is an enforceable contract.
On the other hand if I were just a visitor and theses regs were not posted for me to read prior to entry, then they can bite me, I won't stop to begin with.
If you stop and identify yourself they (HOA) can take out a warrant for you and use the guard as a witness supported by radar, video camera recordings etc .
Now if I were on a jury there's no way I would convict on that, but then that doesn't tell you what everyone else would do as a juror or how a judge in a bench trial would..In that area it probably flies or they wouldn't have gotten away with it this long.

Well, I'd love for the aholes that fly by my house to get a ticket.

$100 for rolling through a stop sign? Yeah, that's BS though.

A little over a year ago I got a ticket in my neighborhood for barely rolling through a stops sign. The court charged me $125. Its the only ticket I have had in 20 years.
