Funny but I was just talking about hauling square bales of hay with someone this past weekend. I was maybe 12 when I actually started getting paid, $1 per hour initially. By age 14-15 it was up to $2 per hour and after I got a real job I didn't want to haul hay outside in the heat any more. My dad farmed us out to friends and neighbors, about half of whom he considered "hardship" cases where we didn't get paid. :( But I ended up funding several vehicles from that work and likely added to my biceps. The girls then noticed the vehicles but never the biceps.
