He obviously has affected my life..Hot wheels cars..AMT model cars to the real life customs....I will miss him!

Hot rod legend George Barris Dead at 89

I loved all his work. Seeing the his/her mustangs of Sonny and Cher reminded me I read an article in HotRod magazine in the 60's which detailed the custom work done on those 2 mustangs. I wonder where they are now?

Grew up with his work ,influenced my love of cars
Might have to put that Red Baron model together that's been sitting in my closet for years.
I wouldnt..its worth alot of money in the box!
RIP George. Had no idea he was behind some of these customs.
He was the star and creator of some of Hollywood most ICONIC customs in just about every movie and series up til present..creative genius...what he could in-vision and make come to life was pure fantasy to reality...all todays customizers can give credit for there inspirations thanks to Barris..an artist with metal fiberglass and paint..it will be a long time before we will see another mind as creative as his! Stars,musicians ,rich and famous..car collectors all sought after his work...his creations are now being restored one by one as they are being found in the car market
