What am I looking at (getting diesel back up and going)

My 2000 7.3 sat since Covid, and it ran, until it didn't. The Injector Control Module fried after filling with water due to the place that Ford mounted, and the stupid plug that rots out allowing it to fill. That led to a bunch of injector codes for the harnesses that in Ford's wisdom incorporated into the valve cover gaskets. So, I got it running and it sounds fantastic for a 350K Excursion. What I would do with yours is that before you try to fire it up I'd change the oil and filter. Online Ford forum say that the oil is a big deal with them. Then I'd try to crank it, and it probably will fire, and watch out for white smoke out the tail pipe. Then get a code reader, a good one, (I used Forscan) and see if anything major happened. Hopefully, you'll be OK.
