Hot Take: Chicken Wings kind of suck

I like wings if I can find them cheap. I don't usually sauce them. Dry rubbed with cajun seasoning. I also don't sauce my ribs. They don't need it if I've cooked them correctly. For chicken it's a 10lb bag of chicken quarters for $6-$7. Cheap and good eats. I'm not a chicken breast fan so it's perfect for me. I discovered gizzards in the Instapot are really good. Very tender. But like wings, they're stupid expensive now.

I love wings, but they used to be cheap. Hardly eat them anymore when you can get a ribeye for the equivalent of a few wings.

Way back in Olden Times there was a chain named O'Charley's that featured 25 cent Buffalo wings, all you can eat..... just had to buy a Happy Hour drink or beer. Best fried wings I've eaten and cheapest too. They made an impression. Must have been 1987 or 88.

All this chicken talk, Ima have to trek over to Grandy's in the Greater Brunswick Metropolitan Area and pick up an order of fried livers and gizzards.

Wings are appetizers after a few I want a thigh. I always cook meat seasoned but not sauced, if I want it I put it on the plate and they’re still messy. If I want them hot, fry em crispy, bathe in sauce and put on a cookie sheet in the oven for a few minutes, it turns up the heat! Ribs seasoned and cooked right need very little sauce,but on the plate. No sauce on my steak!

For big ass fried wings, get em at the Chinese restaurant!
