Hot Water Heater question Help Please

Well, Attempted to change the Dip Tube today but couldn't get the threaded rod off, Went to local hardware store for advice and even they couldn't get there "Display Model " threaded rod off and it is brand new with no rust so I dont have a clue how to get my 14 year old "rusty" one off to replace the dip tube.

Even if I get it off I know it's not gonna a seat correct again so I will have to put new back on it.

At 14 years old… stop ******* with that thing. Tank is on borrowed time before it starts leaking. Replace and move on.

After the past two days I have had with i absolutely agree 100%,

The only reason I was just trying to fix for cheap was we wanna have a tank less installed after the first of the year when we have a total bathroom remodel

Have you checked the output temp lock on the water heater your setting could be low, can bump the temp up under the panels just make sure to do it under both

I have not, I didnt know you could do that, im embarrassed to say but everything i know about water heaters i learned in the last 72 hours via YouTube lol
